Patrol
Patrol Division is part of our first responder team, tasked with the duty of protecting our citizens and visitors alike. It is the policy of this department to staff, equip, and maintain a uniformed patrol component designed to engage in a wide variety of law enforcement activities:
- Patrol / respond to calls for service
- Crime suppression
- Preliminary investigations
- Traffic safety
- Provide First Responder emergency services
- Both reactive and proactive approach
Primary Objectives
The primary goal of the SPI-PD Patrol Division is to protect our citizens and visitors alike, safe guard property and promote public safety through proactive policing strategies designed to suppress crime and reduce traffic accidents.
